Hello friends, I am Dr. Omi Jindul. I am the Chief Hair Transplant Surgeon at Darling Downs Hair Transplant Clinic in Toowoomba. Today, I’ll be answering a couple of common questions that many of my clients ask.
One very commonly asked question is: Can women undergo hair transplant, especially FUE?
Well, why not? It’s not only men who suffer from hair loss and baldness—women experience it too. Female pattern hair loss is different from male pattern baldness in terms of pattern, the recession of the hairline, thinning of hair, and other features. But yes, women can definitely benefit from hair transplant procedures as well. We don’t leave our women out—we’re absolutely able to help.
In fact, some women also inquire about eyebrow transplants, especially those who have thinning eyebrows and don’t want to rely on tattooing or daily makeup. FUE offers a permanent and natural solution for eyebrow restoration too.
The procedure itself is quite similar to that used for men, though not exactly the same. Unlike with men, we tend to keep the donor area in women a bit longer and hide it between the long hair to avoid any visible shaving—this helps you avoid social awkwardness. It’s completely doable.
At Darling Downs Clinic, we also offer long hair transplant procedures—one of the very few clinics in Australia that provides this. This method is especially suitable for women and is slightly simpler than for men, as the number of grafts required is typically lower.
If you’re thinking about getting a hair transplant or are wondering how to regrow your hair, feel free to take advantage of our free consultations. We’d be more than happy to assess your case, guide you properly, and review any medical factors that may be contributing to your hair loss. Identifying and managing those medical issues can also influence your transplant results.
So technically, yes—we can perform a hair transplant and FUE for women and give you your hair back.
I hope that answers your query. Thank you!
